Dr. Francesco Oddone MD, PhD, medical surgeon specialized in ophthalmology, graduated with honors and specialized with full marks at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and obtained the PhD degree at the same university studying the genetics of glaucoma.
He then worked for a period of 3 years at the Glaucoma Research Unit of Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, perfecting diagnostic and surgical techniques for the treatment of glaucoma and cataract.
Member of the European Glaucoma Society (EGS), of the Italian Association for the Study of Glaucoma (AISG) and of the Glaucoma Expert Committee of the European Vision Institute (EVI).
He currently holds the position of Head of the Glaucoma Research Operating Unit of the GB Bietti Foundation IRCCS.
